Okay, we need a minute. We've been refreshing Instagram non-stop since yesterday. If you've somehow missed it: Sarah J Maas just ended a five-year wait and revealed the titles and covers for ACOTAR book 6 and ACOTAR book 7, and we are not okay.
We've pulled together everything confirmed so far. Grab your Kindle. Kobo. Or anything. This is a lot.
The Titles Are FINALLY Here
ACOTAR 6 is A Court of Splintered Harmony, and ACOTAR 7 is A Court of Forgotten Melody. Maas teased it with an Instagram post captioned "What was broken will be remade" and then just... dropped both covers in the same post. No warning. Straight to the heart.
We've already read every theory thread about what “splintered” and “forgotten” mean for the Night Court and we have thoughts. So many thoughts.

ACOTAR 6 And 7 Release Dates
-
A Court of Splintered Harmony (ACOTAR 6): October 27, 2026
-
A Court of Forgotten Melody (ACOTAR 7): January 12, 2027
Eleven weeks apart. ELEVEN. After five years of nothing, Maas is giving us two books almost back to back and honestly, we love that for us.

Why Two Books At Once?
Back in March on Call Her Daddy, Maas explained the next chapter of the series grew into something way bigger than one book, over 1,000 pages. So she split it into parts. Books 6 and 7 are parts one and two, and there's a third part still coming as ACOTAR book 8 - no date yet, but we're already thinking about where we'll be when that one drops.
This isn't a trilogy wrapping up in January. It's the middle of something much bigger, and we are so here for it.
What's ACOTAR 6 Actually About?
Early details point to the Night Court taking a stand against Koschei the Deathless and the other forces threatening Prythian and the human lands. That's genuinely all we've got right now, and it's already enough to send us into a spiral. Maas and Bloomsbury are keeping the rest locked down tight, which means the next two months are just going to be cover-art close reading and group chat theories on repeat.
The Timeline, For Anyone Catching Up
-
2021: A Court of Silver Flames releases - the last mainline ACOTAR book
-
July 2025: Maas posts a photo of a notebook labelled “ACOTAR 6,” confirming the first draft is done
-
March 2026: On Call Her Daddy, Maas confirms the split and shares release dates
-
August 17, 2026: Titles and covers revealed for both books
Five years. FIVE. We know exactly how long that's felt because we've been in the group chats too.

Okay, So About The Timing Of All This
If you've been following us for the last couple of weeks, you already know we've been teasing something. Now you know exactly why we timed it this way. Our Strapsicle Collector's Collection of ACOTAR straps is coming, and it could not be landing at a better moment.
Because think about it. October 27 hits, and you're back in Prythian for the first time in five years. You're rereading the whole series before then, obviously. You're going to be holding your Kindle or any other e-reader up for hours at a time, in bed, at 1am, at that one angle that makes your wrist ache right as things get good. That's not a maybe, that's just what happens when a book is this good. We've heard about it constantly from our 4,000-person Strapircle community, and we've felt it ourselves too.
Now imagine doing all of that with the ACOTAR line wrapped around your Kindle and e-readers. Reread season, release day, the whole reread-then-devour cycle all over again for book 7 in January - your hands actually get to enjoy it this time.
We're not sharing every detail yet, but the waitlist is open right now, and we'd love for you to be on it. Waitlist members get first dibs before anyone else - which matters a lot here, because we don't expect this one to stick around.
Join the waitlist here , and we'll see you on release day, one wrist-friendly grip at a time.
