Four years ago I was doing another late-night feed, exhausted and reading to stay awake. I drifted off for a second and dropped my Kindle on my newborn son Archie's head.
The next day, at our kitchen table, my partner Ben cut up a silicone mat and stapled together the very first strap. It was ugly. It worked. My Kindle stayed put, even when I fell asleep.
That homemade fix became a patented product, blew up on BookTok, landed a deal on Shark Tank, and now helps over 350,000 people around the world read comfortably. Now it is on the shelves at InMotion in UK airports, which still feels a bit unreal.
Happy reading, Lou
I love this product. That's why you're going to do a deal with me!

This is actually a very natural and neutral position for... the hand and it feels comfortable.

Yes. It is solid silicone, so it does not soak up sweat, oils or hand cream. A wipe with warm soapy water and it is clean.
There is nothing to squeeze or grip, so the hand rests open. Lots of customers with arthritis tell us they can read comfortably again. Strapsicle is a reading accessory, not a medical device.
It is not a case, and it will not work over a folio or flip cover. It goes straight onto your device and the padded silicone takes the knocks.
No. Silicone holds its tension, so it will not go slack over time the way elastic does.
So you can read with either hand and swap when one gets tired. Two points of support also hold it far more securely.
